Aspire Academy hosted the Blackpool schools' cross-country championships on the 25th January in cold, but dry weather. Students from across Blackpool ran between 2km and 5km on a very wet and difficult school course.

Our students performed very well, in particular Adam Murphy and Ryan Stephenson, who finished first and second in the Year 7 boys' race. Megan Eadie in the senior girls’ race finished third, while Caitlin Packer in the Year 8 girls’ race, and Carl Wallace in the Year 8 boys’ race both finished a commendable fourth. Overall both the girls and the boys finished third.

Finally, well done to our BTEC students who helped to marshal and manage the event with PE staff.
