Our DEAR days are really picking up pace; DEAR stands for “Drop Everything and Read,” a celebration of reading designed to remind people of all ages to make reading a priority activity in their lives, and this also links in with the national curriculum.

At a pre-determined time the school bell will sound and all students and staff stop what they are doing and begin reading a book of their own, or one from the purple ‘book boxes’ found in every classroom.

It really has been a hit with many commenting that they have discovered books they would never have normally read.
