National Poetry Day workshop

Twenty Year 11 students were privileged enough to be invited along to a Poetry Workshop with the Mancunian poet Mike Garry on National Poetry Day on 6^th October. Mike has worked in collaboration with such famous icons as Manchester United and the pop group New Order, to name but a few.

Students were treated to performances of his poems in his own inimitable style and he also gave them insight into his philosophy on life, poetry, and the importance of reading.

Our students all thought he was an inspiration and we may now have a few budding writers of the future amongst them!
