Rockit!

On Wednesday 22nd April our Year 11 Btec Performing Arts group performed a show called Rockit which incorporated excerpts from four rock musicals: Rock of Ages, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Rocky Horror Show, and We Will Rock You.

The students gave an amazing performance full of singing to songs such as Sister Christian, Superstar, and We are the Champions, dancing to I love Rock and Roll, and King Herod's song, and acting throughout.

The audience were treated to a karaoke version of Bohemian Rhapsody at the end where they were encouraged to join in. The packed out hall sung their hearts out alongside the performers Claire, Shauna, Leonnie, Amy, Tally, Amy , Mazie, and Jodie. Miss Bagot, producer/director who also starred as King Herod, said, "The students worked so hard during lessons, after school and in the Easter holidays to put on an amazing show. I'm very proud of them."

Grateful thanks go to Mr Moore and Mr Dodd who worked on the sound and lighting and Year 11 students Ellie, Becky, and Courtney who worked backstage.
