Chinese club is now up and running again every Friday after school from 3pm to 4pm. It is really popular with students attending from years 7,8 and 9. The sessions are run by two Chinese teachers from the Confucius Institute and we are very lucky to have native teachers deliver sessions every week.

Students learn a mixture of Mandarin and Chinese culture and also take part in Chinese crafts and activities. They have learnt how to greet each other in Mandarin, count to 10 and take part in dialogues. The students are now learning to use pinyin and recognise Chinese characters. They have discovered the traditions of Chinese festivals. Students have also practiced their Chinese calligraphy, made Chinese lanterns and other crafts including origami pandas and bracelet making.
