The Fylde Coast Sand Dune Workshops are once again taking place this summer term, the first one having been held yesterday afternoon. Our students are supporting the Wildlife Trust team by restoring the original flora of the sand dunes, removing all invasive species from particularly affected areas and allowing native species to regain habitats, thus supporting British bees along the way.
This month, the students will be tackling the Japanese rose bushes and the white poplars that have taken over the south west side of the natural reserve.
The next workshop is expected to take place next Thursday, 16th June from 1pm. Students who are not members of the Eco-council are welcome to attend, on a first-come, first-served basis. Letters for parents can be obtained in B8.
