Our YouTube channel now has the first part of a time lapse video of the new building currently being constructed next to Blackpool Aspire Academy on what was originally Highfurlong School; you can watch it by clicking here.

Construction started in March 2022 by our main contractor, Walter Carefoot and Sons, with the project aiming to be completed and ready for handover during the first week of October 2022.

Comprising of eight classrooms, toilets, an office and server room this new building will give some much-needed extra room for the expanding student and staff population of our school.

Still shots were taken using a Windows laptop and external webcam with the Windows Camera app. The time lapse video was then compiled using VSCD Video Editor for Windows and edited on a Mac using iMovie. the music track is called URL Melt by Unicorn Heads available from the YouTube Audio Library.
