This week our Year 11 students are taking their Pre-Public Examinations (PPEs) and this may highlight for some how much work they need to do in readiness for the real thing. Pre-Public Examinations are a mock of the real GCSE assessments, carried out to the same high standards as the real examinations, giving students an opportunity to experience the exams process, allowing teaching staff to identify students who may need additional exam access arrangements and are also a really important indication of how students are getting on in all of their subjects ahead of their final GCSE’s later.

Predicted grades, which will be needed for applications to college and apprenticeships, will also be based on the results of these examinations.

Just like the real exams, these can give students cause for concern and so Miss Taylor, Director of Personal Development, has put a system into place designed to give our students reassurance, revision tips, strategies to manage stress and the best possible chance of success.
