Congratulations to our Aspire students who received awards presented by The Ogden Trust, the Royal Academy of Engineering, Future U and Lancaster University for their hard work and commitment to Physics over the last year. The awards ceremony is an annual event and was held remotely at Blackpool Sixth Form in order to recognise Blackpool students who have continuously shown effort, resilience and curiosity towards Physics.

Jacob - Year 7

He supported his team and others whilst creating rocket launchers and rocket cars for his CREST award and solved problems when they arose. He has a clear passion for physics and mechanics, a future engineer in the making.

Thinusha - Year 10

Thinusha has made excellent progress in Physics during this academic year. She is extremely hardworking in class and will stay behind after class to double-check her understanding of a topic.

The Ogden Trust, Future U and Lancaster University, who between them promote the teaching and learning of Science subjects and forging links between schools, colleges and universities, have sponsored once again the ceremony.

A number of Blackpool school students have been rewarded for their endeavours; Jacob and Thinusha will receive certificates and trophies in recognition for all their hard work this year – well done both of you!
