On Monday, 19th April we were joined by the Kindness Coach, Mr John Magee, who spoke separately to each year group over the course of the day introducing the Kindness Matters 30 Day Challenge.
Every Aspire student now has a 30 Day Journal in which to record their acts of kindness and reflect on the effects and how it makes them feel. The students were also given two short questionnaires to complete, one at the start and one on completion of the 30 Day Challenge, that will allow them to reflect on their random acts of kindness and the benefits it can have, not only to themselves, but to other people and the community as a whole.
At the end of the five sessions John said: “It’s been great delivering these Kindness Matters sessions. Mondays certainly aren’t the best day of the week, but the students here at Aspire really responded well to my message.
“For me there is no better feeling than knowing that when you have gone out of your way to help another person with no expectation of reward. And I hope that the Aspire students will spread that kindness into their local community.”
