Meet the staff

Meet the Staff meets Mrs Elson to find out what makes her tick.

Why did you become a teacher?

Ever since I was younger I loved sport. My PE teachers at my high school were my favourite teachers and I aspired to be like them so I could encourage others to develop a love for physical activity.

Is there anything you wish you taught but can't?

No. I love PE 100% haha.

Marmite or Peanut Butter?

Peanut Butter.

What has been the best day of your life (so far)?

Non-school related - my children being born.

School related - becoming head of PE.

Which teacher did you fear the most when you were at school and why?

The Deputy Head Mrs Andrews. She taught me French and I always hid behind my best friend so she couldn’t ask me questions in French.

What was your favourite toy as a child?

A strawberry shortcake doll.

If you could be a fruit which one would you be and why?

A strawberry, purely because they are my favourite fruit.

What’s the best day of the week at Aspire?

Friday, simple.

Coronation Street or Eastenders?

Coronation Street.

What is life like on the inside of a ping pong ball?

Crowded!

Anything else you would like to add?

My favourite quote is from the film Ferris Bueller’s day off - “Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it”.
