On Friday, 1st March Miss Eastwood took four students, Ryan, Cadence, Kai and Sarah, to Blackpool and The Fylde College to compete in a young engineers STEM challenge.

The challenge was a blind task, therefore, the students knew nothing about what they were going to be doing until they arrived.

The students were given limited equipment and were asked to build a digger using hydraulics; the digger needed to be able to transport grains of rice from one bucket to another.

Staff were not allowed to have any input and were told to leave the room.

The school who were able to collect the most rice using their digger wins £10,000 for their school.

We will be back on a Friday, 29th March to see who the winner is.
