Here at Blackpool Aspire Academy we believe that students should be rewarded for continued effort and progress and so each half term, we ask our teachers to nominate students who they feel have made exceptional progress within a subject, or who have contributed significantly to the school as a whole. These nominations are forwarded to Mrs Hanlon-Catlow (Deputy Principal), whose pleasant task it is to assess coursework and speak to the students concerned about their significant addition to school life.

Mrs Hanlon-Catlow then awards certificates during assembly, followed by the sending of ‘Achievement postcards’ home to parents/carers.

Mrs Hanlon-Catlow said, “I have the best job as I get to see all the fabulous work that our wonderful students produce, we talk about what they have learnt, and they are always so very, very proud of their own achievements’.

Dominik and Nicola are our first high achievers to receive the awards and are pictured here being presented with them by Mrs Hanlon-Catlow.
