We have been advised by Blackpool Transport of upcoming bus service changes in January 2024. The routes have been reimagined to improve the frequency, reliability and usability of the network.

This is going to involve grouping multiple services together that share common routes. This will mean some buses will have different names and numbers to what customers have been used to for several years. For example, all links to Victoria Hospital will be under a ‘Golden 5 Group’, which will see Service 15 become Service 5A and Service 2C become Service 5C. Therefore, it is important that Blackpool Transport reach everyone who relies on these services and ensure they are informed about the upcoming changes.

A large-scale communication plan is already underway to educate and advise customers on how to navigate the new network. This includes timetables, full network guides, a new network map, onboard audio announcements and online channels (website, app, social media, etc.). However, Blackpool Transport anticipate there will be some short-term disruption as people adjust to catching the new buses. To see the full details on the upcoming changes, please feel free to read Blackpool Transport’s online article.

Full information is currently published on Blackpool Transport website via the link above.

Blackpool Transport are conscious of the impact these changes may have on students who rely on their services to get to school.

If you have any queries please contact Blackpool Transport or go to their website.
