Congratulations to the following Aspire science students who all picked up awards this afternoon:
Klaudia in Year 9 was awarded the Keystage 3 Rising Star Effort for all her hard work in Science, which is evident from her enthusiasm in the classroom. Klaudia is always willing and able to answer questions in front of her peers, often supporting the weaker pupils.
Jessica in Year 7 was awarded the Keystage 3 Rising Star Achievement for her hard work in every lesson. She asks brilliant questions and helps other students in the lesson who find their work difficult – Jessica is a pleasure to teach and a Scientist in the making!
Brandon in Year 11 was awarded the Keystage 4 Rising Star Effort for his continuous efforts in science both in school and out of school, which is tireless. He regularly attends extra lessons outside of the normal school day and his grades are a testament to this.
Thinusha in Year 11 was awarded the Keystage 4 Rising Star Achievement for her extremely hard work in all three Science disciplines always going above and beyond what is expected. This is evident from Thinusha consistently achieving far above her expected target grades.
Hosted by Blackpool Sixth Form College, the event saw representatives from the University of Lancaster in attendance and also Marty Jopson, BBC presenter.
The students who were unable to attend and won an award will receive their trophies during their celebration assembly at the end of the year.
