Our Golden Hour Model creates a positive classroom climate with high expectations and clear routines. All lessons include a Golden Question that puts the lesson in context and allows students to see the bigger picture. This golden question is the main learning aim and is used when assessing progress throughout the lesson allowing for differentiation to challenge all students to create an atmosphere of high expectations.

Students begin each Golden Hour with a GO Task. This provides a focal point for students on entry to the classroom and enables the teacher to provide feedback on previous learning or obtain crucial understanding of a student’s current knowledge.

Each Golden Hour creates the opportunity for teachers to question students to deepen understanding and assess learning, provide clear and precise explanations which are appropriate for student progression, model excellent learning to ensure students know how to achieve, feedback regularly to reduce the gap in learning and capture Golden Nuggets so student’s progress is clear and visible.
