The school has successfully registered as an eco-school and will slowly introduce students to global environmental issues and care for the environment. Becoming an Eco-school will place our students at the heart of environmental action and is the main reason why the Eco-Schools programme is the largest educational programme in the world, as relevant today as it was when established in 1994.

The school will follow the Seven Step framework to support young people of all ages and abilities to work together to plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate environmental actions in our own school grounds. Participating in the programme will:

  • Engage students in important environmental issues
  • Demonstrate to students that environmental actions can be enjoyable, social and rewarding
  • Teach responsibility and generates a sense of community
  • Develop the skills and knowledge young people need to play an active role in protecting our environment now and throughout their lifetimes
  • Empower students with the belief that they have the ability to positively impact our planet
  • Enable the school to green the entire curriculum

The programme will fully start in September 2021. More news and events will be added as the year progresses.
