Choosing the next steps after school can feel like trying to choose from a restaurant menu written in a language you only half-understand. Whether a student is trying to map out their future, or a parent is trying to help them navigate it, we know how overwhelming it can be.

To help make things easier, our school uses Unifrog—the complete, easy-to-use destinations platform. Think of it as a personal, digital Swiss Army knife for future planning. From exploring career paths and building CVs to organizing work experience and applying for post-16 options, Unifrog brings everything together in one secure, GDPR-compliant place.

How Unifrog Supports Our Students

Unifrog is designed to grow with our students as they progress through school. Here are some of the key ways it makes the journey smoother:

  • Interactive quizzes (like the popular Personality and Interests profiles) help students figure out what they enjoy and which careers actually match their strengths.
  • Access to over 600 career profiles with up-to-date information on average salaries (regarding local and national pay), typical working hours, and the actual qualifications needed.
  • Intuitive, step-by-step tools that take the pain out of writing CVs and personal statements.

When Year 11 arrives, students are faced with a dizzying array of paths. Unifrog cuts through the noise by allowing students to compare every possible route side-by-side so they can make an informed, confident decision:

Pathway What Unifrog Offers
Sixth Forms & Colleges Search, filter, and compare local courses and entry requirements
Apprenticeships Access a live, comprehensive database of UK apprenticeships (from Intermediate to Degree level)
T Levels & Vocational Explore technical qualifications that blend classroom study with industry placements

Hassle-Free Work Experience (The Placements Tool)

Organising work experience can often mean a mountain of physical paperwork, endless phone calls, and lost permission slips. Unifrog’s Placements tool changes all of that.

The entire process is now managed digitally, securely, and transparently:

  1. Finding a Placement: Students secure their placement (which encourages them to take ownership of their career interests) and log the details on Unifrog.
  2. Automated Approvals: Once the student enters the employer's details, Unifrog automatically emails the employer, then the parent, and finally the school's careers team to gather permissions. No more lost papers in backpacks!
  3. Safety & Compliance: The system prompts employers to verify their insurance, health & safety policies, and safeguarding details online. This ensures our students are entering a safe, pre-vetted environment.
  4. Reflection: After the placement, students use the platform to log their hours and reflect on the skills they developed—perfect for boosting their future CVs.

Why It Is Great for Parents and Carers

We know you want to support your child every step of the way, but you might not always feel like an expert on modern apprenticeships or current qualification frameworks.

Get Your Parent Account

Parents and carers can set up their own companion accounts on Unifrog. This allows you to explore pathways together, view upcoming webinars specifically aimed at parent support, and track your child's progress without having to hover over their shoulder.

How to Get Started

All students have unique log-in details provided by the school. They can access the platform on a phone, tablet, or computer.
