What qualification will I get?

Years 10 and 11 – Edexcel Btec Level 1 / 2 First Award in Music

Year 9 - Edexcel Btec Level 1 / 2 First Award in Performing Arts (Music)

How will I be assessed?

All work in the BTEC Music and Performing Arts courses is coursework based and students gain a Pass, Merit or Distinction in each unit.

What can this course lead to?

Possibilities for higher-level study include BTEC Level 3 Music, or AS and A Levels in music or music technology. Pupils wishing to go into any career that involves music from sound technician to record producer to session musician would find this course a good stepping stone onto further study.
